A SUSPECT (39) was arrested in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni on Thursday, 7 September for malicious damage to property and intimidation without any resistance.
According to EMPD spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, the victim alleged that the suspect came to his house, broke a broomstick and damaged a hot plate stove.
Thepa said the suspect alleged that the victim knows who killed his brother in August 2022.
She told Daily Sun that the victim said it wasn't the first time he accused him of knowing his brother’s killer, but now he was violent.

"The suspect told the victim that he is going to kill him and it might not be now, but it will happen eventually. The victim and his girlfriend ran for their lives,” Thepa said.
She said the suspect was detained at the Daveyton Police Station and will appear in the Daveyton Magistrates Court soon.
Meanwhile, EMPD Officers demolished illegal structures while conducting the municipal by-laws compliance at Elm Road in the Crystal Park area.
“Few illegally erected and abandoned structures were found and demolished, and the building materials impounded,” Thepa said.
