A MAN from Daggafontein squatter camp in Ekurhuleni was terrorising his kasi using what looked like a self-made revolver gun.
The kasi residents grew tired of living like rats and reported him to the police.
The man was arrested on Monday, 21 January.
Daggafontein squatter camp residents who were happy and relieved said the police responded swiftly.
"He was too provocative, and residents feared him because they didn't want to get shot," said the resident.
"We are happy that the police removed the gun from his hands. He was always wielding it, even in front of children."

Captain Nelda Sekgobela said a member from the crime intelligence office, together with members of Springs crime prevention launched a crime intelligence-driven operation on the main street in the Daggafontein informal settlement after they were tipped off regarding the suspect who possessed a firearm in that area.
"Upon arrival, the suspect was found and asked about the unlicensed firearm, and he denied having one," she said.
Sekgobela said the police then searched his shack and found the gun hidden under the bed.
She said the 35-year-old suspect was then arrested for possession of an unlicenced firearm and detained at Springs cop shop.
He's expected to appear in court soon.
