THE Health Ombud, Professor Taole Mokoena, has released findings of an investigation into allegations of a patient who was denied provision of care at Motherwell NU 11 Clinic in Eastern Cape and later died at the Motherwell Police Station.

The complaint against the clinic was lodged by the DA's shadow minister of health, Michéle Clarke in September 2022. She alleged that the clinic denied provision of care, resulting in the death of Zenizole Vena (15).

She alleged that the clinic failed to help Zenizole who went to the clinic accompanied by an elderly woman seeking healthcare after being sexually assaulted.
