LEKHU Bohata has been a petrol attendant for 10 years.
No one has driven away without paying because he’s protected by his ancestors and prayers.
The 35-year-old from Winburg, Free State, saw thuggish behaviour for the first time last week.
But the motorist who sped off without paying the R650 he owed for petrol was no match for Lekhu’s ancestors.
The VW Golf 1 driver crashed into a truck. He and his passenger burnt to death!
Speaking to Daily Sun, Lekhu said: “Last Friday I was about to knock off at 5.45pm when a white Golf 1 was towed in by a lorry.
“The lorry driver said he saw the two men stuck with an empty tank at the Verkeerdevlei Toll Gate. They promised to pay him.
“The Golf driver asked for R650 of 95 unleaded and his passenger asked where to find an ATM.
“I filled the car and waited for the passenger to come back. The lorry driver also waited.”
Lekhu said the passenger came back and said he couldn’t find the ATM, so he gave them a card machine.
“When they gave the machine back I realised no payment had been done. I asked them to pay, but the driver reversed and fled.
“I prayed to my God and ancestors for help.

A few minutes later Lekhu heard that there’d been an accident.
Two men were in the burning white Golf 1!
“My God and ancestors are strong and not to be messed with.”
Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said the two men hadn’t been identified.
They apparently didn’t stop when they were supposed to and crashed into another vehicle.
