THE infamous second docket, known as 375, took centre stage when the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumed on Monday, 5 September after a lengthy break.
The North Gauteng High Court heard arguments as to why the docket was important to the current trial.
Advocate Zandile Mshololo, representing accused number five Sifisokuhle Ntuli, said the state should have shared the contents of the docket with the defence before the trial.
“That information is crucial in this trial. It contains the second statement of Sergeant Thabo Mosia, where he’s contradicting himself,” she said.
Mshololo wants the failure of the state to share the docket to be recorded as an irregularity in the trial.

She said the docket also contained a statement by Brigadier Philani Ndlovu, who played a role in the investigation.
Prosector George Baloyi confirmed the second docket, which implicates people who were in the house at the time of the murder, has been transferred from the Director of Public Prosecutions in Joburg to its counterpart in Tshwane.
He said there was a possibility that there would be proceedings relating to the second docket.
