MAFIKENG squatter camp residents in Fleurhof, Roodepoort have started rebuilding their shacks.

This after 42 shacks were engulfed by fire on 30 July 2023, leaving one man dead and 85 people homeless.

Residents are concerned that their shacks will burn again as they don't have electricity and will still use candles for light and paraffin stoves to cook.
