Gauteng hospitals have no food shortage problem!
This is a message from the Gauteng Health Department making it clear that there’s no such problem in Gauteng hospitals.
This clarification comes after posts on social media saying that Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital has no food.
People have since been bashing the health department saying how incompetent it is for this.
Gauteng Health spokeswoman Kwara Kekana told Daily Sun that Gauteng hospitals have not run out of food.
She said those posts are inaccurate and urges people to stop sharing them.
Kekana further stated that all other type of food are being served at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital.
“What we can confirm is that Baragwanath and a few other facilities did experience a short supply of bread in the recent past,” said Kekana.
She also said the organisation, Random Act of Kindness, that also reported there was no food supply at Baragwanath hospital has since met with the facility management to help clarify the situation.
“The problem of bread supply at the facility has since been resolved. Proper lines of communication have been established for better working relations moving forward,” said Kekana.
