THE four women who were accused of killing Prince Lethukuthula Zulu, the son of the late Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, were acquitted on charges of murder and possession of drugs.
But the Joburg High Court found Tshegofatso Moremane, Margaret Koaile, Portia Mmola, and Gontse Tlhoele guilty on charges of theft.
During their defence's final argument, their representation had much to say about the accused's responsibilities and misfortunes.
The accused's lawyers wanted the judge to consider that they spent three years in prison awaiting trial.
The four accused appeared in the Joburg High Court on Thursday, 30 November.
Advocate Sharon Johnson representing accused number one, Tshegofatso Moremane, said her client must get a fine or suspended sentence.

On the other hand, Advocate Vincent Soko who is representing accused two, Margaret Koalie, said his client stole bath soap and R750 which was never recovered by the investigating officer.
Advocate Pheane Lebea said his clients accused three and four, Portia Mmola and Gontse Tlhoele’s children suffered, and their families had to take care of them while their parents were in custody.
State prosecutor Sifiso Khumalo said the court should consider giving the accused a 12-year sentence.
He said: "This was a sophisticated form of robbery, and the accused planned the crime. They drugged the late Prince Lethukuthula and his friend Nkosi Msimang and robbed them of their belongings. Msimang lost his business because of the incident and his laptop was never recovered.”
