But pole dancing instructor Kabelo Malahlela, also known as KBee, said it's a form of expression and a great way to stay fit.
KBee told the Daily Sun about her journey to becoming a pole dancing instructor.
The 28-year-old self-taught dancer from Joburg said she has been dancing most of her life.
"In every chapter of my life, I have danced or performed in some form. On my 22nd birthday, I learnt about pole dancing as one of the activities I chose for my birthday with my friends," she said.
