KHUME Ramulifho is growing each day in politics.
Ramulifho, who's currently the DA Gauteng shadow MEC for education and a member of the provincial legislature, will be contesting in his party's Gauteng leadership that can automatically make him Gauteng premier if the party wins the provincial elections.
As a child he never thought he would reach such a milestone in life, but he was taking each day as it comes.
Ramulifho said that he started as a DA student activist and has been a member of the party for 25 years.
The married father of two boys is also the DA's chief whip in the province. Ramulifho has held several positions in the party.
"DA is the only alternative in this country. We have values which many South Africans can attest to," he said.

Furthermore, when we had opportunities to be in government, we have done our best to provide quality service.
"I'm a leader who is bringing integrity, credibility, bringing experience and leadership. I'm raising my hand. I'm the only leader who can reignite mood on the ground.
"I'm a hard worker, on the ground, accessible and responsive," he said.
He said that leaders emerge when there are crises in a country, including the province, as it's going through tough times.
"Leadership is, when you can see it's dark, how do we take people to light? That's where you come up with a vision. I'm motivated and very encouraged. DA can win the 2024 election," he said.
Ramulifho said that it was not about winning but making sure that Gauteng becomes a province of opportunities.
"We want to encourage those who have not registered to vote, to register."
He said that there was a need to provide support to public representatives like what the DA does with local councillors, being there when they are threatened.
"I want to lead and provide that type of support to all our colleagues on the ground," he said.
"My number one goal is to provide basic services to our people, and commit to serve," said Ramulifho.
He said that the DA has given him a lot of opportunities, adding that he'll be contesting against Solly Msimanga for the provincial leadership on 12 August 2023.
