THE CRL Rights Commission will hold investigative hearings at its office in Braampark, Joburg on Tuesday, 10 November.

This follows allegations of abuse laid against Rivers of Living Water Church head pastor, Stephen Zondo.

According to CRL spokesman Mpiyakhe Mkholo, victims will be given a platform to tell their stories on what happened when they were allegedly violated.

“The alleged victims are scheduled to relate their allegations during these hearings. Accordingly, a notice was sent to Archbishop Zondo, the leader of the church, about these hearings.

“The leadership of the church under Archbishop Zondo will be afforded an opportunity to respond to the allegations on a date to be determined,” said Mkholo.

Zondo has been in the spotlight recently over a sex scandal which threatened his marital home and allegedly drove congregants away.

According to reports, Zondo’s wife, Pastor Seabi Zondo, allegedly left her matrimonial home after catching her husband cheating on her with a church member in his office at the church.
