FOUR people were killed and 14 others hurt following a collision between a taxi and BMW on the N12 in Westonaria, West Rand, on Wednesday, 18 May.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 7.30pm, only to find multiple patients.
“Unfortunately, four people were found to have sustained fatal injuries and declared dead. Two sustained serious while 12 sustained minor injuries,” Meiring said in a statement.
He added that patients were treated and transported to hospital.
“Circumstances surrounding the incident are not known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring said.
