A MAN was killed and eight people were injured when three vehicles collided on Jakes Gerwel Drive in Langa, Western Cape on Monday morning, 4 July.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after midnight to find that one vehicle had rolled off into the veld while two others had come to a stop in the middle of the road.
“Several people were seen scattered around the cars. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that one man had sustained fatal injuries, while eight others sustained moderate to critical injuries,” Meiring said.
He said that the injured patients were treated and provided with advanced life support before being transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
“Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” added Meiring.
