JUDGE Cassim Moosa has issued a warrant of arrest for a former cop who failed to appear in court.
The former, cop Sergeant Simon Ndyalvane, was absent from the Joburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge on Thursday, 29 February.
Ndyalvane and his two co-accused, Constable Caylene Whiteboy and Detective Sergeant Voster Netshiongolo, allegedly shot and killed Nateniel Julies during a protest in Eldorado Park, south of Joburg in 2020.

Nateniel (16), who was living with Down Syndrome, was shot by cops in Eldorado Park, just a few meters away from his home, and was taken to the Chris Hani-Baragwanath Academic Hospital, where he later died.
According to the family, Nateniel was at a tuck shop buying biscuits.
Judge Moosa said: "A warrant of arrest is issued for accused number two, Ndyalvane for failing to attend the court.
"His bail money will be forfeited to the state," said Moosa.
Ndyalvane was out of bail of R1 000 bail.
During the court proceedings on Thursday, 29 February, a medical report from Ndyalvane's lawyer Thabo Moepo was handed over to Judge Moosa.
Judge Moosa ordered the lawyer to send the medical report after he failed to appear in court on 19 February.
Moepo sent a WhatsApp message to the state prosecutor Johan Badenhorst, which was read in court on 19 February citing ill health and the need to see a doctor.
Ndyalvane and Whiteboy face charges of murder, discharging a firearm in a public place, having prohibited ammunition, and defeating the ends of justice.
Netshiongolo has been charged with defeating the ends of justice and having prohibited ammunition.
Judge Moosa postponed the matter to 18 March for trial.
