FOR the second time in a space of a week, motorists have helped themselves to freebies.
Yet another truck lost its load on Monday, 11 March. Motorists rushed to loot the truck carrying bottles of mayonnaise.
But the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) has warned that this can land looters in jail.
Cops are still looking for the people who looted a truck carrying cool drinks on Thursday, 7 March. After the truck overturned, motorists rushed to load drinks into their private cars.
But they were not aware that videos were taken. Cops are now trying to identify and arrest the people seen in the videos which have since gone viral.
Thabiso Makgatho, spokesman for the EMPD, said looting amounts to theft.

EMPD spokeswoman Marie Mashishi said the driver lost control and the truck lost its load of mayonnaise on the Benoni on-ramp on the R21 freeway.
The slimy mayonnaise on the road obstructed the movement of traffic.
Mashishi said the road was cleaned on Tuesday, 12 March.
Several trucks have capsized on this busy freeway.
In 2020 a truck loading paraffin lost control on R21. Four people sustained minor injuries.
Three cars and a truck transporting 10 000 litres of paraffin collided on the R21 near Atlas Road on-ramp.
The tanker flipped as the driver swerved to the left, avoiding crashing into a vehicle that had lost control.
The paraffin spilled, resulting in traffic obstruction. It was eventually cleaned. Metro cops said the cause of accidents by trucks is mostly reckless driving, roadworks, swerving to avoid a crash by truckers and unroadworthiness.
