RESIDENTS were up in arms when they heard that more than 30 pupils had fallen ill after allegedly eating snacks bought from a local spaza shop on Friday, 27 October. 

The small community of Endicott in Springs, Ekurhuleni, went on the rampage, demanding answers from shop owners whom they call aboMyfriend. 

When they failed to answer them, residents kicked them out their area and tried to open their own shops.
