He said three motorists were killed in an accident on the R55 and Lochner Road at Raslow near Centurion at around 00:38 on 29 March, while three other patients suffered critical to serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision.
"The Tshwane Emergency Services Department arrived at the incident, two patients had already been taken to Kalafong Hospital by a private ambulance service. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate some trapped motorists from the other vehicle," he said.
Mabaso further said a bakkie overturned on Britz Road near Straightfontein butchery north of Pretoria at around 02:01 on 30 March, leaving two occupants seriously injured.
"When the emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident, they found the two drivers still trapped in the wreckage of the bakkie. They also had to use the Jaws of Life to free the seriously injured patients," he said.
