THE Mogwase Magistrates Court has denied Karabo Moche (34) bail after he was charged with the murder of his lover on Monday, 14 August.
Moche allegedly stabbed his lover, Keabetswe Molefinyana (30) from Mabeskraal Village outside Rustenburg in North West several times at Mogwase Shopping Complex on 16 February.
The investigating officer, Mole Mphela opposed bail giving reasons that the community is furious and that she fears they might take the matter into their own hands.
Mphela said the Moche allegedly committed the crime within the jurisdiction of the court and police station, which shows disregard for the justice system.
She said the community would lose faith in the justice system if Moche was granted bail.

“The applicant did not prove on a balance of probability that exceptional circumstances exist, which in the interest of justice permits his release.
Botes said the reasons presented by the applicant are ordinary and can be dealt with while the accused is in custody.
Keabetswe’s brother Katlego Molefinyana said they were relieved the judgment did not favour Moche.
