SIMPHIWE Nteyi, known as Sqoloza, appeared before the Orlando Magistrate Court on Thursday, 14 March.

He faces charges of housebreaking and theft.

This after he broke into a sex toy shop in January 2024 and stole dildos.

The accused allegedly made it rain at the Diepkloof Hostel in Soweto, as the place was buzzing with extra-horny dwellers after the break-in at the Diepkloof sex toy store.

The hostel was flooded with beeping dildos and hundreds of sex booster pills after thugs helped themselves to the stock.

The case against Nteyi was postponed to 10 April 2024 for legal representations.

This was after his defence counsel was unable to attend court due to family commitments.

During his last court appearance, it was revealed that the accused has other previous convictions.

Business owner Mmathabo Ndlovu told Daly Sun she was grateful for the quick and effective handling of the case by the Diepkloof Saps.

“It is only reasonable to give the police and the criminal justice system the necessary space to deal with this matter as they're the only competent authorities in such matters. I'm confident that all necessary steps will be taken to achieve a successful prosecution,” she said.

Mmathabo hopes the case will serve as a deterrent and a lesson to other criminals.

The accused remains in police custody.
