CONTROVERSIAL former Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) spokesman and Jacob Zuma loyalist, Carl Niehaus, has been expelled from the ANC.
The ANC’s national disciplinary committee (NDC) sent the expulsion letter to Niehaus, which Daily Sun has seen, on Monday, 12 December.
But he said he was not going anywhere.
The NDC chairman, Ralph Mgijimi, said the six charges Niehaus faced related to comments he made in Nkandla, KZN, during June and July last year in defence of Zuma.
Niehaus criticised the Constitutional Court for its decision to send the former president to jail for contempt of court after he defied that court's decision that he must appear and testify at the Zondo Commission.
He was suspended from the party for five years.
The NDC said Niehaus failed to show remorse during his suspension.
"The charged member is expelled from the ANC," said Mgijimi in his finding.

Niehaus said he found out about his axing on social media.
"I have not received that letter personally. This letter was simply sent out into the public domain by that kangaroo court that calls themselves NDC. It is utterly unacceptable that any person who is personally affected, as I am, by such a ridiculous decision must here about this on social media," he said.
He called the decision vindictive and said he has already appealed against it.
"I have already appealed the travesty of justice of my illegal expulsion by the ANC National Disciplinary Committee (NDC). Because I have appealed the farcical expulsion is suspended, I remain a full member of the ANC," said Niehaus.
He said the real reason for his expulsion was because he was not prepared to accept President Cyril Ramaphosa, whom he said evidently was an agent of white monopoly capital.
Niehaus has been captured recently holding a placard that reads "Ramaphosa must go".
He said his blood was black, green and gold and no one would expel him from the ANC.
"I will not allow to be humiliated by nobody's simply because they are empowered by mafia gangster such as Ramaphosa," said defiant Niehaus.
The ANC’s national spokesman, Pule Mabe, confirmed receiving the NDC findings to expel Niehaus and and said they were studying them.
This was in relation to his defence of former president Jacob Zuma following the Constitutional Court ruling he be imprisoned for contempt of court.
