Police are looking for Bongani Sanele Mlambo to help solve a murder case.

COPS need help in finding a person of interest in the murder case of a student.

The body of Mangosuthu University of Technology student Xolile Mbatha (23) was found at a student residence on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Durban, KZN, on 31 July with multiple stab wounds.

It’s alleged that the electrical engineering student was killed by a fellow student following a dispute. Cops are now looking for Bongani Sanele Mlambo (28), whose whereabouts are unknown at this stage.

Police spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Nqobile Gwala said police were called to the scene at about 7.30am after the body of a woman was found.

“She was certified dead at the scene.

“A case of murder was opened at Point Police Station,” she said.

Gwala appealed to anyone with information about the whereabouts of Bongani to come forward or call CrimeStop on 08600 10111.

“Anonymous tip-offs can be communicated via the MySAPS App,” said Gwala.
