accreditation

A WOMAN has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death after an argument over R1.

This happened on 29 September at Lethabong, Tshwane.

According to the family of the boyfriend, the fight on 29 September started after the man’s son asked him for R1 to buy sweets when he arrived home from night duty as a security guard.

The boyfriend told his child to ask his mother, but the mother said she used the R1 to buy airtime to call her man’s nyatsis.

Then an argument broke out.

The boyfriend (35) was stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife.

The boyfriend’s uncle (42) told Daily Sun that his nephew died at Mamelodi Day Hospital on the same day.

He said there was a fight about money.

“When he thought it was over, he went to sleep but while he was asleep, the woman allegedly stabbed him in the chest.

“He woke up and ran outside. The woman followed him holding a knife,” said the uncle.

He said that the community called an ambulance and his nephew was taken to hospital where he died.

The uncle said his nephew was in love with the wrong woman.
