THE community of Rapao View in Atteridgeville, Tshwane is reeling in shock and living in fear after businessman and property developer, Johannes Rapao, was shot dead on Monday, 15 May.
The residents believe Rapao was assassinated for fighting for their rights against people who were trying to steal their stands. They said the day before he was killed, Rapao fought off a group of people found trying to build shacks on the stands, which already belonged to other people.
The residents claimed that one of the men threatened Rapao by saying: “Monday won’t set with you still alive."
