THREE suspects, aged between 23 and 34, have been arrested for an alleged ATM bombing incident that took place in Oranjeville, Free State, on Friday, 13 May.
Sergeant Josephine Rani said at about 2am, a police officer was passing near a house in Metsimaholo when he noticed that an ATM had been bombed.
“Upon investigating, he received information from a community member, who alleged that he saw three unknown men bombing the ATM. He said they fled on foot towards Zonke section,” Rani said in a statement.
She added that the cop called for back-up and on their way to Oranjeville SAPS, came across a suspicious vehicle driving at high speed on the R716 towards Deneysville.
“They chased the vehicle up until between Phomolong and Refengkgotso. The occupants jumped out and officers managed to apprehend three suspects. They had blue ink stains on their clothes and hands,” Rani said.
