THE broken windows were left scattered on the ground as thugs robbed shops.

Police have launched a manhunt for an armed gang that robbed three shops at Mams Mall in Mamelodi East, Tshwane on Thursday, 16 November at about 5pm.

According to Gauteng police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo, cops are searching for an armed gang that stormed into Mams Mall and robbed three shops.

"It's reported that the suspects forced their way into the three shops and held the employees at gunpoint before taking an undisclosed amount of cash, more than 50 cellphones and bags," he said.

Masondo said police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist in the investigation or in apprehending the suspects to contact the nearest police station or call CrimeStop on 08600 10111.
