RAPE accused Archbishop Stephen Zondo, appeared in the Sebokeng Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 12 March.
The rape accused bishop pleaded not guilty to eight counts of sexual assault.
Zondo allegedly committed these offences against two female church members between 2013 and 2018, at the church in Evaton and at his private residence in Vereeniging, Vaal.
The head of the Rivers of Living Waters Ministries, Zondo (57), appeared in the Sebokeng Regional Court shortly before his second appearance on charges of five counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
After Zondo pleaded not guilty, the Sebokeng Magistrates Court postponed the trial to Monday, 22 July 2024.
On Monday, 19 February 2024, Zondo appeared in the High Court in Pretoria to answer to 10 counts of sexual assault, and he faces 18 counts of sexual assault charges in two different courts.

The trial at the Sebokeng Magistrate Court was adjourned for further investigations after Zondo, who is standing for the MK party for the Gauteng legislature in the upcoming elections, pleaded not guilty to the sexual offences he is accused of.
In the High Court in Pretoria, more than seven victims testified that Zondo allegedly used holy oil to sexually abuse and rape them.
The court was packed with members of his church and a group of people supporting Zondo’s victims.
