ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula addressed the residents at Mandela Stadium in Hammanskraal, Tshwane on Saturday, 23 September 2023.

Mbalula said it's been eight years since ANC lost the Tshwane municipality to the DA.

He said when you go to the suburbs things are happening but in kasis, the DA has disappeared.

He mentioned that there was WiFi, and it disappeared and that many people were employed in their wards, but it's no longer happening.

"Under apartheid, nothing was being delivered to the residents. We will end load shedding and connect electricity to our people," he said.

Mbalula promised the residents that they will bring back water and solve the problems at Postbank and Post Office.

"ANC is fighting poverty. Our people must never give RDP houses to illegal foreigners who are selling nyaope and drugs to our people,” he said.

He said there are a lot of Pakistanis running shops in kasis.

"As ANC, we have said to our government which we are implementing now, things like barbershops, spaza shops and small businesses must be preserved for South Africans,” he said.

Mbalula said South Africans have given their licenses of spaza shops to Pakistanis.

"Our people are selling marriage certificates for a lot of money to illegal foreigners," he said.

Mbalula said if the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande is not fixing Nsfas, and people should march to his department.

Electricity Minister Kgosientso Ramokgopa said the ANC must unite.

"We are going back to the people. We are fighting for service delivery and for the poor. Wherever there is gathering, ANC must be present," said Ramokgopa.

Portia Mokwena, Sanco deputy convener in Gauteng, said: "Each and every branch of Sanco, it must hand over 100 volunteers to the branch. We don't want the governance of coalition. We will win Gauteng and Tshwane."
