THE murder case against ANC MP, Sibusiso Kula was postponed.
Kula (34) appeared in the Klerksdorp Regional Court on Wednesday, 22 November after his case was transferred from the Orkney Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 13 October 2023.
It was expected that the prosecutor would provide the defence lawyer with a charge sheet and necessary documents for the pre-trial and trial.
Kula was arrested on Friday, 20 January 2023, linked to the alleged murder of his wife, Jennifer Mohlomi (31).
Before his arrest, Kula told police that he allegedly found his wife in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds shortly after midnight on November 27 in what appeared to be a robbery.

Jenniffer was with their 18-month-old baby, who was asleep and unharmed. Police said she was found with a stab wound to her back, but the object she was allegedly murdered with has not yet been found.
His legal representative, Gcina Dlanjwa, said the delays were concerning.
Kula is on bail of R50 000, which was granted to him by the North West High Court after he appealed against the Orkney Magistrates Court's decision to deny him bail.
He was ordered to surrender his passports, report to the nearest police station twice daily, inform the investigating officer of his work route, report to the investigating officer if he has to travel outside his home area, and have no direct or indirect contact with his three children.
His request to have the case struck of the roll was previously denied by the court. The case was postponed to Monday, 11 December 2023 for Director of Public Prosecution’s decision.
