ANC'S eThekwini regional secretary, Musa Nciki and his co accused and bodyguard, Ivan Khoza will have to return to court again in May.
Nciki and Khoza appeared in the Durban Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 16 April and their matter was postponed.
They're facing charges related to reckless and negligent driving and driving a car with no number plates. They were arrested in Durban North after they were caught on 6 March 2024 driving an unlicensed car.
It's alleged that they were also carrying weapons without permits.
Nciki and Khoza are out on R5000 bail each, which they were granted in their first appearance on 7 March.

In their previous appearance, on 10 April, the matter was postponed for their lawyers to make representations to the senior public prosecutor about the road traffic violation charges they're facing.
On Tuesday, 16 April, the matter was postponed for 9 May for further investigations.
Meanwhile, the National Prosecuting Authority spokeswoman Natasha Ramkisson-Kara said Nciki and Khoza face charges of reckless driving, alternatively, disregard for a road traffic signal (a red traffic signal) and operating an unlicensed vehicle.
She said the state is alleging that the men were driving along Lighthouse Road in Umhlanga on 6 March 2024, when they committed the offences.
Nciki is a former ANC Youth League treasurer. He was elected to the position at the party's regional conference at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Conference Centre.
He's a supporter of former eThekwini mayor, Zandile Gumede, who faces fraud and corruption charges.
