HIGH Court judge Cassim Moosa asked why the alleged sex worker's killer' Sifiso Mkhwanazi, didn't stay away from his victims.
This after being told that Sifiso Mkhwanazi didn't plan to kill the sex workers.
Sifiso's lawyer, Advocate Vuyo Maqetuka, claimed his client killed the sex workers because they wanted more money.
"He did it for the first time, second time, and third time, why did he not stay away from sex workers and leave them alone," said Moosa.
Advocate Maqetuka said he wouldn't know because the accused had been seen with sex workers coming in and out of the workshop.
"Nothing shows the murders were planned the accused of being arrested again after he spent ten months in prison for an alleged rape case which was later dropped.

"The state has not proved beyond reasonable doubt that the murders were premeditated," said Maqetuka.
State Advocate Leswikane Mashabela said the motive of the accused was to get revenge and to punish the sex workers.
"One of the deceased was 29 weeks pregnant when the incident happened in April 2022. The bodies were found tied up, legs spread wide, mouths tied, and bodies left undressed. This shows that the deceased was stopped from screaming or running away at the secret room," he said.
Mashabela said some of the deceased were strangled to death.
"He claimed he didn't plan to kill them. He chose not to testify in court, failing to come and rebuke this in light of overwhelming evidence that he confessed and wanted to avenge.
"One body was thrown into a container of a motor vehicle. The upper body was set alight. The body was still covered in motor oil, and the burnt upper torso was visible. One was wrapped with a duvet," he said.
He said the accused tried to destroy the evidence and was also planning to hide the body of Joyce Moyo.
The case was postponed to Wednesday, 13 March.
