ALEXANDRA, commonly known as Gomora, has become one of the feared areas in Joburg.   

Shacks in this kasi are closely built next to each other and in those thin passages, crime is the order of the day.    

Every day, a group of 30 patrollers in Gomora brace themselves for whatever is to come.
