Advocate Malesela Teffo will appear in the Hillbrow Magistrates Court on Friday, 29 April facing charges of trespassing after his dramatic arrest.
Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela says for now he doesn’t have details as to why Teffo was arrested but will meet with the investigating officer, together with his commander to get a clear understanding.
However, senior police officials cannot explain who instructed Teffo's dramatic arrest.
The arrest was made immediately after the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela, adjourned the case to 30 May.
Speaking to the media, Advocate Zandile Shololo said it was unfair that they had to arrest Teffo in the manner that they did.
During his arrest in court, Teffo also mentioned that the Minister of Police Bheki Cele does not want him on the Senzo Meyiwa case.
