SPIKERS fought over Zulu Prince’s R3K!

ALCOHOL bottles flew in Prince Lethukuthula Zulu’s apartment when the “partners in crime” accused of his murder fought over money found in a TV stand drawer.

Two of the four accused, Tshegofatso Moremane and Portia Mmola, fought.

After Lethukuthula passed out, Tshegofatso joined Gontse Thloele and Margaret Koaile who were partnerlessin the dining room.

The shouting of the word “money” prompted Portia to jump out of bed, which she had shared with Lethukuthula’s friend, Nkosi Msimang.

She barged into the dining room and demanded money from Tshegofatso. This was according to Gontse’s confession statement read by Lieutenant-Colonel Magdalene Maboein the South Gauteng High Court on Wednesday, 26 October.

The statement read: “We took an Uber from Pretoria to Randburg and went to News Café and met two gentlemen.

“Those gentlemen took us to a flat in Randburg.We sat in the dining roomand we were all drinking and we were all drinking

She said the two men took Tshegofatso and Portia, who they had chosen, to the bedroom and locked the door.

“After a while, Tshegofatso joined us in the dining room. She then opened the drawer and a lot of money fell out and she screamed: ‘Money’!

“Portia came running from the bedroom, demanding money from Tshegofatso.

“They started to fight and hit each other with bottles,” read the statement.

“Portia went to the bedroom of Tshegofatso’s boyfriend and she pulled him with the sheets and he fell. I thought he was drunk.” and was sleeping.”

She said Tshegofatso left the man lying on the floor.“I went to the bathroom and took soap and toilet paper.

“We then shared the R3 000 among ourselves,” she said.

This saw them pocket R750 each and theyThey took some items and went back to Pretoria.

The case continues today.
