MONDAY, 11 September marks one year since a mine dam in Jagersfontein in Free State burst, resulting in several houses and cars being destroyed by the mudslide.
Two men were confirmed dead, one woman went missing and 28 people sustained injuries.
They were transported to Diamant and Albert Nzula Hospitals, among them a pregnant woman, four with fractured limbs and the rest for bruises and hypothermia.
The People's Paper published the story last year.

Free State Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and Human Settlements released a statement about the serious damage to the homes, furniture, vehicles and other important belongings of the community of Charlesville in Jagersfontein.
The tailings dam burst open from the nearby abandoned local mine presumably from aged and deteriorated infrastructure, damaging homes and residents' precious items in nearby Charlesville.
The collapsed dam wall unleashed water and mine waste, which claimed the lives of two people.
