MAGDELINE Malope wants peace.

The 58-year-old woman from Marokolong in Hammanskraal, Tshwane, is searching for her missing brother, Thomas Sello Ntseke.

Magdeline said her brother, who must be 66 years old, has been missing for 48 years. She said she would be happy to see him alive or dead.

According to Magdeline, her brother was an activist. She claims he was a member of Umkhonto Wesizwe.

"My brother left home when we were living in Temba in Hammanskraal. I was nine years old. He fled from the apartheid police and never returned home," she said.

The woman has asked anyone who knows her brother's whereabouts to come forward.

"I'm struggling to come to terms with this and want to show him my children before I die. This has caused so much pain in our family," she said.

Before her brother vanished, Magdeline told him cops would never arrest him even if they came looking for him, because he was smart.

Magdeline said Thomas never wrote to or called the family since 1976.

"My brother, there is freedom in Mzansi. Please, come home, we need and love you."

Magdeline described her brother as tall. She said their mum, Elsie Ntseke, died in 2018 and was buried at Hammanskraal cemetery.

"My mum died with the wish to see her only son. I want him to come home so that I can take him to my mum's grave. I want her to have peace and be happy where she is."

She said she had a dream in which he told her that he had returned home. Magdeline said she no longer has her brother's photo.

ANC spokeswoman, Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri, said: "We'll pass on Mrs Malope’s information to the Veterans League and the Military Veterans Association."

Bhengu-Motsiri said the ANC would continue to assist the families of liberation activists, whether they belong to the ANC, PAC or AZAPO, to reunite with their loved ones.
