A NEWBORN baby boy has defied the odds and emerged victorious after being found dumped at a dumping site under a bridge. 

The child was abandoned in Mariveni Village outside Nkowankowa in Greater Tzaneen, Limpopo on Tuesday morning, 29 August. 

It is alleged the baby was heard crying by a passerby.
