IN TSHWANE, Grade 12 learners from different schools in Soshanguve in Tshwane told Daily Sun that English Paper 3 was good and even a Grade 4 learner would have passed.
The learners said that the whole year was beautiful and a fun year.
They did their normal celebration of cutting and decorating their school uniforms and filling the streets while dancing.
Itumeleng Mootlana (18) from Elizabeth Matsemela Secondary in Soshanguve said that English Paper 3 was simple, and she passed it.
In Ekurhuleni, it was a moment most matrics have been waiting for.
After the invigilators collected the answering sheets, they hurriedly rushed out of the exam rooms.
It was a sigh of relief after a demanding month of exams.
Others sang, jumping for joy, while others wrote goodbye messages on each other's shirts.

"We need this break. Bye school, hello varsity," said an excited matric pupil.
"I'm praying for distinctions even when I'm partying. I want to do medicine, " said a matriculant.
The majority of the matrics around the country finished exams on Wednesday, 29 November, with English Paper 3, but the exams officially end on Friday, 1 December.
This year, over 717 377 full-time and part-time candidates sat for the final examinations in 6,898 centres nationwide.
The Department of Education said a total of 207 question papers were written, with 72 500 invigilators overseeing the exams and 52 500 markers have been appointed.
The marking of scripts is expected to start next week.
Pens downs parties are expected to run until next week.
The department has urged matrics to celebrate responsibly.
In a statement, the department said it is during the pens downs parties that some matrics are raped or even lose their lives.
The 2023 matric results will be released on 19 January 2024.
