IT was an easy history exam for matric learners who set for paper 2 on Wednesday, 8 November.

Bonolo Matsogo (17) from Blue Eagle High School in Cosmo City, Joburg, says she did well despite not spending much time preparing.

“Overall, I wrote well. And the interesting question that I had was question 2.4.1."

"My preparations were short, but I was ready,” she said.

Bonolo wants to be a Human Resource Manager.

This was also the case for Obakeng Motimele (18) from the same school. “For me, the paper was fine. I enjoyed it, but the difficult parts were eight-mark questions,” he said.

Obakeng said he managed to finish writing early for the first time.

Nhlanhla Montlane (17) from Cosmo City Secondary 2 also enjoyed long questions.

“It was nice, especially essay questions than short questions,” he said.

Nhlanhla said he wanted to be a flight attendant.

“I would enjoy being a flight attendant travelling from one country to another. That is why I'm doing Tourism,” he said.

Tshepo Maake (19) from Cosmo City Secondary said it was a fair contest. “It was fair, and I had put in the work than paper 1,” Tshepo said.

He said he wanted to be a lawyer.

Sphumelele Gugwini (19) says he enjoyed both essays and short questions.

“I knew long questions could relate and understand all questions.”

“Me and my friend, Maake, it seems we have similar dreams. We both want to be lawyers, but if things go south, I will consider being a firefighter.”
