CLOTHING accessories have the power to take any outfit from ordinary to extraordinary.

They also have the power to make a statement and leave an impression.

Take a tie, for example. While many may find it boring, a recent study revealed that men who wear a suit and tie are found to be more attractive.

According to www.prweb.com, an online neckwear retailer Bows-N-Ties.com recently surveyed 1 184 men and women to find out more on how wearing ties affects a man’s career and personal life.

According to the survey, women respond more favourably to overdressing than to dressing too casually.

Of the 387 women who participated in this survey, 19,6% said they would be very attracted to a man dressed in a suit and tie on a first date, compared to just 5,2% who would be attracted to a man dressed in casual shorts and a T-shirt.

In the survey, men and women were asked two different sets of questions. Men, for instance, were asked about the frequency in which they wear ties, what their approximate annual income is, as well as how they would most likely dress on the first date.

Women were asked things like what outfit they would be most attracted to on a first date.

Another study conducted by Bows-N-Ties.com also revealed that 60% of women prefer men who accessorise with neckties and 72% of women find it a turn-on when a gentleman wears a tie on a date.

So, the next time you’re going on a date or want to leave an impression, put on a tie!
