My boyfriend does not want to use protection, please advise.

Dear Mizz B

My boyfriend and I love to have sex at least four times a week, but he does not want to use protection. He says it is better for him to pull out before he ejaculates. I am afraid I might get pregnant.

Hey there Sista

Pulling out before the man ejaculates is known as the withdrawal or pull-out method and is not a fool proof method for birth control. Some sperm may be released before the man actually ejaculates.

In addition, some men may not have the will power or be able to withdraw on time.

This could cause you to fall pregnant. Remember there are many contraception methods available. Pulling out has not been proven to be safe.

Using a condom is by far one of the safest methods.
