MY girlfriend suggested we should separate for six months because she needs a break.
I don’t agree with her as I believe distance will destroy what we have already built. Do breaks guarantee we’ll get back together again?

People choose different methods to resolve issues they face in their relationships. If space and separation is what your girlfriend prefers, you need to let her be. Be open to her about your fears of losing her and present other options such as limiting time spent together. This will help her realise there might be other options that might work. Unfortunately, taking a break does not come with any guarantee. Consider going for couple’s counselling to find a way forward. Good luck!
