Singer, Zandie Khumalo is accusing Senzo Meyiwa's mum, Ntombifuthi Meyiwa and wife, Mandisa Mkhize of the murder of the late soccer star.

SENZO Meyiwa’s wife, Mandisa, has decided to keep quiet amid Zandie Khumalo-Gumede’s outrageous claims on eNCA on Tuesday evening (18 July).

“I have nothing to say. No comment,” she said hanging up the phone.

Zandie spoke about what she witnessed on the night of the shooting. She said when she came back from her neighbours on that night, she found Kelly Khumalo and Mthokozisi Twala trying to put Senzo inside the car.

“I jumped inside the car and sat with him on the backseat and started putting pressure on his wound.

“On our way to the hospital, I could feel his feet starting to get cold. I could even feel his stomach.

“I was talking to him all the way to the hospital, trying to keep him alive,” she said.

“I was one of the first people who gave a statement. Our phones were taken from us for investigations and they were brought back a day later.”

She said a few months later, a rumour that Longwe Twala pulled the trigger started making rounds on social media.

“Eventually, Longwe and myself were fetched by the police. We were taken to a police station in Tshwane where we were interrogated. Again our phones were taken away from us,” she said.

“In 2018, we were called back to give additional statements. At that time, I was questioned for hours until I lost my voice.

“We were again called for role playing. We had to show the police how it actually happened.

“Then years later, we were called for a lie detector test and nothing came out of it,” she said.

She described the case as a joke.

“I’m also concerned because five men were arrested but we have never been called to identify them.

“But it would be difficult to identify them because half of the time, they were wearing masks.

“Some of them had dreadlocks, maybe they’ve cut them now. Some of them might have gained weight now because it’s been a while.

“All I know is that only two people came into our house,” she said, adding that she can’t wait for her day in court.

“We are not guilty until proven guilty. Most people think we are the masterminds behind this.

“They think that we are hiding information, but they’re forgetting that Senzo’s friends were also there. If we were lying, they would have said something by now,” she said.

Spokesman for Senzo’s family, Sifiso Meyiwa, rubbished Zandie’s claims.

“We’re not going to entertain Zandie because there’s no truth in what she said. Whatever she said must be tested in court, then we can listen,” said Sifiso.
