NEDBANK celebrates the youth of Mzansi, their achievements and their limitless potential with its YX23 initiative.

The initiative aims to unleash the potential of young South Africans.

On Saturday, 18 November, Daily Sun witnessed the best of the best at Constitutional Hill in Joburg.

Nedbank honoured young creatives in the fields of beauty, art, IT and energy sector.

This year, the bank announced its top 10 winners who were recognised for their outstanding contribution.

The event was hosted by Primo Baloyi and TV presenter Anele Zondo, and Candice Modiselle gave a keynote address. 

The night's fun was accompanied by performances from Cassper Nyovest, Kamo Mphela, Anele Zondo and Uncle Waffles.

Nthabiseng Matshekga, executive head of Marketing Excellence, told Daily Sun that they were happy that young people participated in this initiative. She said it shows that they are very passionate and willing to learn new things.

"We. as Nedbank, want to celebrate young talents or innovators with YouthX. We're proud of them and their work," Nthabiseng said.

Nthabiseng Msingatha, founder of YouMeta and runner-up, told the SunTeam that her company is all about creating opportunities for young people in the field of sustainable energy.

"Winning the second prize means a lot to me. I'm so proud of myself and the work I'm doing as an innovator," she said.

Ayanda Majola (23), founder of Yanda Cosmetic, said winning third prize at the Nedbank YouthX Awards means her work is being recognised. She said she started her business in 2021 and it's doing well. She said winning this award means a lot to her.

"I'm super proud of myself, and my work speaks for itself. I'll continue to create great things in this field," she said.
