YOUTH radio station Y has the backs of young and aspiring content creators and entrepreneurs.

Y is set to launch a new platform called GRYND, which will teach youngsters about entrepreneurship in the digital age, multiple streams of income and how to make side hustles through various digital platforms.

The conference will take place on Saturday, 24 June at Atlas Studio in Braamfontein, Gauteng  and will have popular content creators, actors and radio presenters such as Okay Wasabi, Candice Modiselle, Mthaux, Moghelingz, Primo, Sinovuyo Mondliwa, and DJ Zan D facilitating and hosting discussions and masterclasses.

The radio station calls the conference the "ultimate meetup experience for young people".

Breakfast show hosts Okay Wasabi and Mthaux will facilitate a comedy session with Ofentse "Primo9teen" Baloyi and Moghelingz.

Lunchtime host Caddy will host the The Stylist & Culture session.

Speaking about the conference, Y marketing manager Lerato Makhutla said: “GRYND is not just another event, not just another talk; it is a movement.

"Through thought-provoking discussions, interactive workshops and engaging activations, GRYND aims to inspire young individuals to think differently, challenge existing paradigms and embrace the power of digital knowledge to work in their favour."

The station’s managing director, Haseena Cassim, said GRYND will serve the youth.

“Creating a platform that empowers young South Africans to not only embrace enhancing opportunities in the digital world, but to also engage with the panelists and their relatable journeys, GRYND, both on and off-air, delivers on Y’s promise to serve the youth,” Haseena said.
