THABANG Malefane is a passionate young author on a mission.
He said he has written four books, and his desire is to instil a culture of reading in young people.
Thabang latest book is called The Burial of My Past.
The 21-year-old said the book is about the concepts of death, birth and acceptance.

"At a certain point in our lives, we have to let go of our past. It's up to each individual to bury it by forgiving and moving on.
"Unfortunately, the character in this book buried her past by committing suicide, which I don't support," Thabang said.
He said the reason for the recent book was to raise awareness about emotional issues that affect people on a daily basis.
"I want to inspire, educate and impart knowledge to those who are emotionally hurt.
Thabang’s books include Pills for Broken Souls, Den of Emotions and Mirrors Self-reflection, a book of poetry he compiled with Wandile Mathe, a writer from KZN.
The talented author is the founder of the Sterkspruit Book Club and the Talent Expo Foundation and is studying for a BA in Creative Writing at Unisa.
He's working at Sterkspruit Community Art Centre where he teaches youth art, music, acting, and reciting poems.
