MPHOWABADIMO is taking a break from the limelight to honour amadlozi.

The Big Brother Mzansi season three winner, whose real name is Michelle Mvundla, said after getting her fair share of attention in the entertainment industry, it was time to give her ancestors attention.

The 27-year-old from Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, has won a few endorsements and worked with several brands since her big win, but she has put a stop to everything.

On Saturday, 9 July, she announced on Twitter that she’d be leaving the entertainment industry for a while to do what she was called to by her ancestors.

She said she wouldn’t be taking any gigs until the end of this month. In a statement posted on Twitter, she said: “The time has come for me to answer the calling of my next chapter. I’ll be taking the necessary time off to attend my spiritual journey and find a balance.

“Although it’s a short break, it’s also important that I announce this next step as I will not be taking any new bookings for the month of July.”

She said she’d announce when she was ready to work again, and was done with her work with the ancestors. She thanked everyone for their love and support.

“This is not goodbye. I will definitely see you later. Thokozani,” she said.
