POPULAR dancer and musician Mixon Tholo, better known as Tsekeleke, is struggling.
The 38-year-old from Mabopane became a sensation after he was discovered dancing at a taxi rank in Tshwane.
He went on to dance with Dr Malinga and the late Vusi Ma R5.
Things looked good for him.
But now, he's down and out and back at the taxi rank where he was discovered, and things aren't looking good.
He told Daily Sun that he struggled to look after his family since they depend on him.
“My parents are old, and they depend on me.”
Tsekeleke said every morning, he goes to the taxi ranks to dance so that people can give him money.
“On Sunday, I went to town, and I made R100. I used the money to buy some meat so that my parents could have their Sunday dinner.”
He said being a celebrity is hard because people laugh at him.

“When I walk in public people laugh at me because they assume that I should have money because they’ve seen me on music videos on TV dancing,” he said.
Tsekeleke said his career is not going well because people think he's dead.
“I’m not dead. The Tsekeleke who passed away was Anthony. My name is Mixon, and I’m still alive,” he said.
He said that he'll appreciate any help from SunReaders.
“Dancing and music are all I know. I can’t get any job because I dropped out of school in grade 2. Dance is what I am good at. I just need people to give me a chance and book me,” he said.
His mother, Maria Tholo (61), said Tsekeleke is trying hard to provide for them.
“He always goes out to dance and comes back with money for us to buy some food. I really hope that my son gets help so that he can change our lives,” she said.
