AWARD-WINNING singer Lady Zamar is back after not releasing music for almost three years.
It has emerged that the talented singer was allegedly having vocal problems and had to undergo a throat surgery late last year.
The singer, whose real name is Yamikani Janet Banda, was recently captured on stage performing and having the time of her life.
City Press reported that late last year, the Collide hitmaker underwent surgery after developing problems in her throat, which affected her voice.
The video of her performing comes days after she released a brand new single titled Find Me Now.
Speaking about the song, Lady Zamar said it is about self-love, finding love, having hope and figuring things out.
“It was a song born out of personal truth because my whole life, all I’ve ever wanted was to find true love and to be swept away by horses and dream chariots. But after having gone through a life-changing experience and being in isolation for so long, I had to find a sense of truth for myself.

“I asked JR to help because he is a believer and advocate of the arts. I knew he would help me say what I needed to say in the simplest way,” she said.
Speaking on why she decided to jump onto the amapiano wave, Lady Zamar said this is because it has become a revolutionary genre which speaks to those who want to be free.
“As a person who started in the commercial scene with broken beats, it felt fitting to step into the age of amapiano in my own unique way.
“This is not what I would normally release but in respect of art and the ever-changing world of music, it’s exciting to try something different and amazing. Different producers tried to capture the essence of the song,” she said.
“The journey to finding love begins with self-love, forgiving yourself and having the strength to start again.
“Instead of trying to find the perfect person, I choose to become the me I want to find and believe that eventually, love will come and find me when it is ready to do so.”
