THEY will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in the industry next year.
Evolving in music for three decades has kept them relevant.
The legendary Vetkuk and Mahoota will drop a barcadi song called Bula Ntweo on Friday, 15 December.
On the song, they have teamed up with fellow musical powerhouse and legend DJ Maphorisa, undeniable force in the Bacardi space, Jelly Babie, XDuppy, Uncool MC and Ricky Lenyora.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Mohoota said that the song Bula Nthweo sounds wrong, but they are talking positively.
“It’s a fun song that talks about talking about successes and celebrating them, like opening a beautiful bottle of alcohol that you like, opening an engine of your beautiful car, showing us your beautiful wife,” he said.
He said it's an amapiano song with a touch of quantum and barcadi.
“Music evolves and you just can’t keep sticking to one genre. You must always move with the times."
Mohoota said that they've been doing amapiano for some time now.

“Barcadi is doing extremely well and the fact that it's taking over the world it's amazing,” he said.
Mahoota said they have had an amazing journey.
“Sometimes you go to a show, and they expect you to play a song from the 1990s. Imagine. There’s nothing wrong with that but it’s only one or two people who will want that in a big crowd."
He said it was beautiful to move from one genre to another.
“It’s been amazing seeing how many genres we’ve evolved to. From mbaqanga, bubble gum, kwaito, deep house, gqom and now amapiano. We’ve done all of that and it's amazing,” he said.
He said it is also about an individual.
“It’s about you wanting to grow and learn from the new ways of doing things instead of saying that you’re an OG and you know what’s happening."
Mohoota said he's far from retiring and still has a long way to go.
