NORTH West-based radio station YOU FM is consistently building on its winning formula, which has seen it deliver strong listenership.

According to chairman of Motswako Media Group Tebogo Pooe, the company that owns You FM, they're celebrating five years this year of providing content that's in tune with their listeners all over the province.

"The station is operating in an ever-changing environment where people are constantly re-evaluating the quality and pace of life daily.

"Sticking to what works and staying ahead of trends is what keeps us relevant to our listeners," said Pooe.

Veteran radio presenter Malik "Pat Cash" Maloyi joined the station to present Life and Money, a weekly business and lifestyle show that will air between 7pm and 9pm.

The interactive slot focuses on lifestyle content and money matters, such as investment tips, ways of managing finances, and entrepreneurship.

Pat Cash said: "The most I will say is, I'm delighted to be back on YOU FM, and I'm looking forward to growing with the team and reconnecting with listeners."

Pelo Modiga said she joined YOU FM in 2021 with the aim of learning as much as possible.

"I perceived this radio journey as a university institution, and I believe I went through the various stages accordingly. From one Sunday show a week, with stand-ins in between to night-time radio and finally being contracted to work on a prime-time radio slot daily from 9am to noon is nothing short of amazing. I'm in my third year of this radio institution, and I'm grateful," she said.

She said that every day she's living her dream.

"I'm excited about this new line-up because we're going back to basics. This is not just in terms of the line-up but also the essence of radio and what it means to you and me. Having conversations that shape communities, music that is both fresh and nostalgic, and relatable personalities is the perfect recipe cooked up for a successful radio year," said Pelo.
